Agentic Systems and AI-GA Simplified (1)

The AI Magic Memo

So it’s been a while, been busy and I apologize. So I can’t come up with topics consistently with my schedule but I can talk about what I have been up to with research and projects. So first we have Agentic Systems and AI-GA (Generative Algorithms for those not in the technical space). This has been made easy for everyone to flow along even if you never thought about how AI works in your life.

Firstly, Agentic Systems? What’s that?
It’s another fancy way of saying AI can perform tasks with a degree of autonomy, basically without human intervention. They can autonomously perform tasks by breaking them down into smaller subtasks, planning their actions, and using external resources such as memory or tools.

Let’s say you’re craving some Jollof rice. You need rice (obviously), Maggi, and whatever makes the rice red. Don’t come for me on this, I’m not hungry yet! Anyway, you ask a regular AI how to make Jollof, and it spits out a recipe based on the training it had like it’s pulling knowledge from a cookbook it read once.
For Agentic Systems, it’s a whole ball game, the entire system is designed to think like you, at least maybe not you you! but like a human being. It will consider your ingredients, if you have enough gas to cook, and perhaps even how lazy you are so it picks a meal to suit these conditions. So it would be able to tell you that the best option is concoction rice and would prepare the sauce and all, or probably go shopping for you and get the ingredients for Jollof rice. I don’t mean literally that it will go shopping but its cognition is as wide as that. You can thank Harrison Chase, for helping me invent this explanation for you. He is the reason I’m sounding smart 😁.

So for those interested, you could look into LangChain and LangGraph.

LangChain is a framework for developing applications powered by large language models (LLMs)

and

LangGraph is a library for building stateful, multi-actor applications with LLMs, used to create agent and multi-agent workflows.

Agentic System Evolution
Now Agentic Systems are going to evolve. For those of us into FIFA, you choose a player career, I mean you create a fresh player not that you pick an existing star. I mean starting from the lowest, a rating of 60 out of 100. So these systems will level up, just as the player, as the player plays a few matches, your skill rating increases to 5 stars, and your shooting stats increase to 90 out of 100. Your overall rating reaches 90 depending on how lucky you are, how determined you are, and what difficulty you are playing (Anything lower than Professional is not worth my comment 👀). It’s the same with Agentic Systems too.

So thanks and Ta-ta… Get ready for part 2 of the article.
